Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Ruleskein ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Ruleskein provides tools to turn your project briefs and settings into modular agent configuration artifacts (for example Markdown rules, skills, and integration guidance) for use with compatible coding agents and IDEs.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and profile. Name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you register or sign in (including via third-party identity providers when enabled).
  • Workspace content. Project names, agent configuration, prompts, briefs, knowledge documents, and other text you enter or upload to generate or store outputs inside the Services.
  • Usage and diagnostics. Log and technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, timestamps, pages viewed, and error reports to operate and secure the Services.
  • Billing. When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor receives and processes payment information; we typically receive limited billing metadata (for example last four digits of a card, subscription status) rather than full card numbers.

3. Cookies, consent, and first-party analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (for example session and authentication). Where required by law, we ask for your consent before enabling optional categories: analytics (first-party events such as page views stored in our systems) and marketing (only if we use tools that need that consent). You can change your choices anytime via the cookie banner or cookie settings in the site footer. Consent preferences may be stored in HttpOnly cookies and, when you are logged in, in your account record.

4. How we use information

We use the information above to provide and improve the Services; authenticate users; process subscriptions and usage limits; generate and deliver outputs you request (which may involve sending portions of your content to AI model providers as described below); detect abuse and protect security; communicate about your account or the Services; comply with law; and analyze aggregated or de-identified usage trends.

5. AI processing and subprocessors

To generate agent rules and related files, we may send relevant portions of your prompts and configuration to third-party AI providers (for example large language model APIs). Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information. We may also use infrastructure, database, email, analytics, and payment vendors who process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards appropriate to their role.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account and workspace data as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, legal, and dispute resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable law and legitimate business needs; some information may persist in encrypted backups for a limited time.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encryption in transit (TLS) for browser and API traffic, and secure storage practices for credentials and secrets. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our vendors operate. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your request.

10. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.

12. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us through our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
